Description

The Software Engineer role at Big T303 entails working in a fast-paced environment where you are expected to contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience and is proficient in JavaScript, with at least 4 projects on Node.js. You will write efficient, reusable, and reliable code that powers our platform. You will also implement user-facing elements with server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. You are expected to be familiar with RESTful APIs and have experience in managing databases. Experience in React is a plus. The role requires strong communication skills as you will be collaborating with other engineers and developers, working on different layers of the infrastructure. Experience in Agile methodologies would be advantageous. Git is our tool of choice for version control, hence familiarity is a must. This is a full-time position and can be done from anywhere.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software using JavaScript
Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements for software
Develop applications using Node.js with an emphasis on maintainability, readability, and testing

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years professional software development experience
Proficiency in JavaScript is a must
At least 4 successful projects completed using Node.js
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Able to manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
Understanding of agile methodologies and experience with incorporating them into software development
Strong problem-solving skills
Degree in computer science or equivalent field experience
